A few notes

I should really be sleeping, but instead will create a rant of photos.

Like...how to prepare to swim a daily marathon... (which i think nobody knows other than mimi since it's mental) but what one might expect to see prior to take out:

awesomely chaotic jeep, meigs motel
ravenswood, wv (mile 221)

pomeroy, oh (mile 250.5)

Mimi said that Sharon was her Jacques Cousteau today on the river. Because of the wind, the choppy water at times became 3 feet waves. "The river kicked my ---" -Sharon
Really, I doubt that was the case.
Roush Family Farm (Racine, OH)
Roush's friend's feet

Elisa, a local envirnomental activist took me on a wild and emotional journey along the coal belt that exists within her community, informing me about its local impact. Really intense and upsetting statistics and stories about people affected, crippled physically or economically and left virtually powerless.

Racine, Oh (mile 242)

Cheeky hog, I though he was a statue!
Antiquity, OH (mile 241)

pomeroy, oh (mile 250.5)--again!
Mimi actually came out of the water during a rib-wing festival (odd for a veggie, but she knew Sharon was teased by the smells--that way she could grab a bit of bbq). Her timing was great. A bunch of people asked how she ate/took breaks...I told of her heroism, how she never comes out and eats and drinks near the kayak. 15 mintues later, she came up the dock. Never, say never. Oh, and 2 miles later, she reached Middleport, which is the 1/4 mile River mark! Someone told me that it was named as such because it was the middle point between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. Makes sense.
